    Your role in the team

     

    Allstate Business Insurance (ABI) have rolled out a new platform to support our Transformative Growth plans. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growth area that will help to expand your skill base and give you the opportunity to grow and develop in a new platform.

     

    We are building the next generation Insurance Engine for ABI and have an opportunity for 2 enthusiastic, experienced Software Engineers to join our new product teams.

     

    Successful candidates will attend the Duck Creek University (virtual training) and will be part of a team to design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and implement Duck Creek Rating & Policy to build new insurance products and lines of business that meet all business & technical requirements for ABI. 

     

    • Accountable for overall code quality for this product.  Does it deliver the functions it needs to deliver, is it of high quality, is it of high performance, is it usable
    • Understands the details of code supporting this product.
    • Understands the details of any CBO's supporting this product.
    • Understands the details of how those CBO's connect back into any Allstate or other vended components.
    • Follows design guidance to align with a cohesive and efficient product development.
    • Develops code to deliver functionality that align with Allstate's security and compliance standards
    • Leverages Test Driven Development techniques for unit testing to deliver high quality and highly maintainable software components.
    • Provides insights and thought leadership in retrospective reviews to give insight to product owners, SCRUM masters, and lead engineers to improve velocity and quality

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • 3+ years’ experience in a technology-based role and
    • Experience in one of the following skills – Duck Creek technologies/.Net/C#/Sql Server and
    • Experience working in an agile environment.
