    Your role in the team

     

    The Data & Intelligent Systems (D&IS) group within Allstate is a world-class technology organization focused on enabling Allstate to become a leader in the technology and data space. We are looking for an application developer to join the global State Privacy team, working specifically on the Data Buddy product which proactively manages the SPL lifecycle for new or existing applications with PI data in the Allstate production and non-production environments.

     

    This product is being developed to meet legal and regulatory compliance requirements around personal information (PI) deletion, consumer requests, privacy notices, and 3rd party relationships supporting Allstate’s Privacy standards and State Privacy Laws (SPL).

     

    The team has a focus to increase consumer-centricity, simplification, automation, centralization and scalability while continuing to meet our regulatory and legal requirements. 

     

    • Design, test and develop solutions to meet the strategic needs of the program
    • Provide support and subject matter expertise on production issues related to the application
    • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and other parts of dynamic Agile development
    • Take ownership and accept responsibility for decisions which impacts own work area
    • Provides guidance to others within team on technical solutions
    • Provide support in resolving data and technology issues
    •  Work effectively with Product Owner and team members              

     

     

    The successful candidate will have: 

     

    • Proven track record of analyzing technical requirements and producing high quality solutions
    • Understanding of the Agile framework and Product Mindset  
    • Desire to learn new technologies and implement continuous improvement
    • Strong work management skills with the ability to drive forward your own projects
    • Innovative approach to projects, with strong desire to improve through efficiency and automation
    • Highly focused, paying attention to detail
    • Flexible attitude to work tasks, displaying an ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Have strong communication skills and possess the ability to work independently when required but also as part of a team

     

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • 2 years Java development experience 

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Experience in any of the following
      • Experience of Spring Boot, React JS
      • Experience of PCF or AWS
      • Working in an Agile environment.
      • JSON, HTML
      • Unix, SQL
      • CICD - Jenkins
