    Your role in the team

     

     

    We are excited to announce a new ABI Dev Ops Engineer role opening within Allstate Business Insurance (ABI) at Allstate Northern Ireland.

     

    ABI has created a new auto product to focus on small businesses with less than five vehicles by creating a new and modern user experience for customers and agents on a new platform using Duck Creek Technologies to allow customers and agents to quote, bind and service in a simple yet engaging way.

     

     

    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

     

    • Maintaining deployment scripts
    • Creating / maintaining build pipeline processes
    • Creating / maintaining release pipeline processes
    • Creating / maintaining Octopus deployment processes
    • Creating/Maintaining branching strategy with GIT repository
    • Creating / maintaining scripts (Powershell scripts, Policy server user scripts, utility scripts) ​
    • Setting up build agents and build dependencies​
    • Help troubleshooting VM issues related to Development workflow​
    • Creating documentation to help developers with workflow
    • Maintaining Duck Creek Licenses​
    • Maintaining Salesforce tickets and tracking with Duck Creek, as they pertain to Infrastructure and SDLC related issues
    • Assist developers in their development and/or technical issues
    • Infrastructure
      • Creating / maintaining an Azure environment
      • Provisioning and assisting new users with correct level of access​
      • Supporting new users on how to use Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) and Azure DevOps (ADO)​
      • Supporting / troubleshooting user access issues​
      • Supporting / troubleshooting Windows 10 and WVD​
      • Automation and monitoring of the WVD and the Azure environment​
      • Maintaining and improving security posture​

     

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • At minimum 3 years’ experience in a hands-on technical role including 1 year experience in DevOps
    • Experience using Allstate enterprise CICD tools or other cloud Dev Ops tools

     

    The successful candidate must also demonstrate competency in:

     

    • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
    • Be detail oriented with an ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
    • Be forward thinking and innovative

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Azure Cloud or Amazon certification not required but a bonus.  We will provide MS Azure training for certification
