    Your role in the team

     

    As part of the Customer Master Architecture team, qualified candidates will blend Information Architecture with Solution Architecture, and be accountable for driving the thinking and solutioning to manage and leverage Customer data as an asset (integrated data sourcing, development, usage, and availability).

     

    In this highly-collaborative, fast-paced environment, you will design innovative product solutions for real business problems, integrate with and evolve architectures in existing products and systems, and contribute to business-driven technology roadmaps. This role is in support of the Customer Data Strategy.

     

    • Act as primary Solution Architect supporting vended and in-house data management solutions, including:
      • Cloud technologies and concepts, Real-time analytics, Streaming data platform, and machine learning tools
      • Provide direction for optimal analytic data structure selection and design
      • Design analytic platform for the enablement of Predictive Analytics Models, inclusive of model training, creation, and operational deployment
      • Advanced analytics strategy, ranging from architecting open source based Big Data-analytic tools and building integrated solutions that meet enterprise needs
    • Ensure that implementations align to enterprise data strategy principles
    • Communicate technology strategy via roadmaps, conceptual diagrams, and solution
    • Using independent research and analysis of industry and technology trends, provide actionable ideas for innovation and business capability development
    • Ensure that implementations align to enterprise data strategy principles
    • Partner with developers and solution architects to deliver effective integrations of in-house and vended solutions to provide seamless data management solutions across all businesses
    • Provide consultation to teams on the tactical application of reference architectures and the strategic direction of enterprise technology
    • Collaborate with technologists and business personal to identify opportunities for innovation and automation

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • 5+ years of experience within a Data management practice and/or Data management architecture that was accountable for the establishment and process related to this discipline
    • Ability to lead or mentor a group of employees (directly or indirectly)
    • Well versed in industry data management trends, practices, and standards

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • 3rd level qualification (Computer Science related field preferred)
    • Basic knowledge of the insurance industry and business processes
    • 2+ years’ experience in industry tools managing Governance, Metadata, Data Quality, Reference Data Management and Data Structure Design (preferably Informatica suite of tools) 
    • Customer Master Data Management experience.
    • Experience with IBM Infosphere MDM Standard Edition (aka Initiate)
    • Oracle, MongoDB, SOLR, Scality
    • Kafka, Tibco
    • Java, Spring; Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry is a plus
    • Experience with Cloud technologies, integrations, and design
    • Expert in high-performance MDM environments
