    Engineering Team:

    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

     

     

    At Arity we are utilizing cutting edge development languages, tools, web services and cloud technologies to deliver amazing capabilities and products. We are searching for talented and technical engineer.

     

    A successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the design, implementation, and on-going support of Arity’s Kafka clusters hosted on AWS

     

    • You will focus on building Kafka pipelines.
    • You will engineer and administer the Kafka platforms
    • You will have knowledge and exposure to Kafka APIs
    • You will implement security & authorization on Kafka cluster
    • You will deploy monitoring tools and alerts.
    • You will have knowledge of best practices related to security, performance, and disaster recovery.
    • You will collaborate within the team and across all engineering teams in Arity
    • You will secure applications by automating scanning and updates
    • You will be passionate about platform technology.

     

     

     About You:

     

     

    • You have a proven ability to work within aggressive timelines.

    • You have excellent listening and communication skills. You must be able to communicate   technical information clearly, across a range of technical and non-technical individuals
    • Good understanding and appreciation of industry trends within cloud and platform technologies

    • Be a team player, highly enthusiastic and self-motivated
    • Be a self-starter who can work unsupervised
    • Be customer focused.

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • 3+ years’ platform engineering experience and
    • 2+ years Kafka Administration experience.
      • Knowledge creating Kafka topics; setting up redundancy cluster.
      • Knowledge and experience creating a backup & mirroring of Kafka Cluster brokers, broker sizing, topic sizing, h/w sizing, performance monitoring, broker security, topic security, consumer/producer access management (ACL) 
      • Experience with open-source Kafka, Confluent Kafka, or MSK, zookeeper, Kafka connect, schema registry Avro schemas.
      • Experience of Knowledge of high availability kafka cluster setup, maintenance, and ongoing support.
    • Experience using Ansible, Cloud formation templates/Terraform modules, shells etc.
    • Experience using AWS.
    • Experience using Jenkins, GitHub

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Willingness to learn and quickly adopt new platform technologies
    • Understanding of the values of Enterprise Change, Release, and Incident management
    • Experience monitoring Kafka with tools like Lenses, Control Center, Kafka Tool, or Burrow
