    Job Description

    You’ll be joining Scrum teams working on one of a variety of public/private sector projects where you'll have opportunities to learn new technologies and gain qualifications through Version 1's incentivised accreditation program.

    You could be involved in: 

    • Building, scalable RESTful microservices using Python and Django. 
    • Building and testing accessible, modern frontend applications using HTML, CSS and JavaScript with templating tools like Moustache.
    • Development of public and private APIs, web application backends, and data acquisition from web sources using the Python language.
    • Collaboration with other developers to deliver features using a variety of techniques including pair programming. 
    • Engaging in solution design with Business and Technical representatives, bringing your thoughts on new techniques and alternative approaches to the team.

    Qualifications

    • ​​​​​​Experience of using common Python frameworks, build and test tools such as Pytest, Django, pip, pyenv and Jenkins/Azure DevOps.
    • Experience of building RESTful microservices.
    • Using common JavaScript build and test tools such as Jest/Mocha/Jasmine/Karam, Webpack and NPM.
    • Understanding of a TDD approach to building software and an understanding of modern design patterns.
    • Experience debugging and investigating applications.
    • Ability to work in an Agile, Continuous Integration environment.
    • Knowledge of public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) with Docker.
