    The Role:

     

     

    At Arity we are utilizing cutting edge development languages, tools, web services and cloud technologies to deliver amazing capabilities and products. We are searching for talented and technical engineers who can help design and develop our products further.

    A successful candidate will be an Automation Engineer who can help our engineers and developers deliver business value faster and more reliably.  

     

    • You will focus on building common tools and increase automation for tools our engineers use to build, test, and release software. 
    • You will collaborate within the team and across all engineering teams in Arity to implement and deliver features.
    • You will engineer the tools our developers will use to deliver applications to production.
    • You will automate steps of our deployment process with the goal of increasing quality.
    • You will develop highly complex CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry) to interact with multiple downstream systems and workflows
    • You will secure applications by automating scanning and updates
    • You will be passionate about technology, software, and the Internet of Things. 
    • You will drive secure solutions and best practices through mentoring. 
    • You will lead the hands-on technical delivery of new services and capabilities 

     

     

     

     About You:

     

     

    • You have a proven ability to work on and lead high priorities initiative with aggressive timelines.
    • You are comfortable performing in a fast paced, dynamic and ambiguous business environment with a willingness to step up and take the initiative.
    • You have demonstrated a product mindset with an ability to set forward thinking and direction.
    • You have excellent listening and communication skills. You must be able to communicate   technical information clearly, across a range of technical and non-technical individuals
    • Good understanding and appreciation of industry trends within the mobile telematics space
    • Good research and analytical skills
    • Good problem-solving skills with a focus on code quality
    • Be a team player, highly enthusiastic and self-motivated
    • Be a self-starter who can work unsupervised

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • 3+ years’ software IT development experience and
    • Experience with Groovy and Python and
    • Experience with a range of CI/CD platforms and tools. For Example, GitHub, Fastlane, Jenkins, Concourse, Gradle, ComplianceBuddy, Artifactory, Nexus, AppCenter, TestFlight and
    • Experience setting up rules for linters such as Swiftlint and Android Lint and
    • Experience setting up dashboards and integrating with security and code scanning tools and
    • Experience with cloud technologies. For example, AWS, Azure, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Docker, and Kubernetes and
    • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms, For Example, DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, ECC and PagerDuty

     

     

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

     

    • Willingness to learn and quickly adopt new technologies that impact DevOps engineering
    • Experience in mobile application development and publishing – IOS or Android
    • Knowledge of mobile package managers such as Cocoapods, Carthage, Swift Package Manager, and Maven
    • Experience creating secure automation scripts and solutions in public clouds
    • Experience and knowledge in TDD, test driven development.
    • Understanding of the values of Enterprise Change, Release, and Incident management
    • Understanding of the values of Product Performance, testing standards and best practices.
    • Experience with API gateways. For example, APIGEE, Mulesoft, or AWS API Gateway
