Customer Success Manager

  • Applied Systems, a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Customer Success Manager to join our Applied Europe team on a 12 month Fixed-term contract. The Customer Success Manager (CSM) will be responsible for the overall health and success of a select number of strategic enterprise customers.

     

    The CSM’s mission is to ensure the successful implementation, adoption and business outcomes enabled by Applied’s products and services are achieved. Working in collaboration with Sales, Services, Support, Development and Product Management to ensure our customers gain the most value possible from their investment in Applied technology.

     

    This individual will work across both broker and insurer channels ensuring our customers gain the most value possible from their investment in Applied technology.

     

    What You Will Do

    • Act as a Customer Success Manager for key customers, including partnering with Sales on account strategy and overall customer health
    • Develop and expand relationships across the organisations by working with clients to understand business needs, determine goals, and formulate a roadmap for how the Applied partnership can help achieve those goals
    • Lead Customer Business Reviews (CBR), both with client leaders and internal partners based on shared metrics and common business objectives
    • Operate as a trusted business advisor by helping clients anticipate future needs based on industry and technology trends
    • Act as a conduit between assigned accounts and Applied functional teams to understand the identified goals/objectives and leverage internal partnerships to enable efficient solutions to clients’ needs - right resource at the right time mentality
    • Lead internal projects and continually look for process improvements and efficiencies across the organisation based on customer feedback and CS insights
    • Develops and maintains relationships of trust, accountability, and integrity with colleagues and customers
    • Collaborate closely with Support, Sales, Product Management, and Development, particularly in ensuring overall alignment with customer expectations on strategic, large-scale directed development engagements
    • Utilise strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as technical and industry knowledge to establish credibility with internal & external stakeholders
    • Understand Applied Systems product functionality and ability to drive asset optimisation
    • Maintains insurance industry expertise, and knowledge of operations and performance KPIs
    • Optimise the customers journey with Applied by acting as a subject matter expert for customers’ business process changes and recommendations
    • Seeks to understand the general business of insurance so they can deliver more effectively to customers
    • Manage and escalate client and/or department related issues as required
    • Perform and document detailed root cause analysis on incidents and engaging with clients and internal Applied teams where appropriate
    • Ensure all work is logged and maintained effectively

     

    What You Will Need to Be Successful

    • Must have:
      • 4+ years Customer Success Experience within Technology, consulting or Insurance
      • Experience of working directly with large accounts
      • Excellent communication skills
      • Experience of working strategically and providing new and creative ways to overcome obstacles
    • Desired skills (but not required):
      • Working knowledge of Applied’s product and customer based would be welcomed
      • May have been involved in broker management system implementations or optimizations
    • Education
      • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field or alternatively experience within the field
