    Your role in the team

    We are delighted to be offering an exciting opportunity to join an existing and experienced Product team as a Senior Ab Initio Developer in Claims Tech Solutions. As part of a team of engineers you will be accountable for ensuring data reliability, data efficiency, data quality and data timeliness critical to internal consumers and external vendor needs.

     

    • Responsible for the iterative design, test, and delivery of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solutions in CTS Data Platforms
    • Design detailed technical components with high-level architecture
    • Design and build automated processes that monitor ETL programs for data quality and governance issues
    • Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, vendors, and users to ensure fast and efficient problem solving, data accuracy and reliability
    • Ongoing production support activities to ensure availability
    • Act as an ETL technical expert for other application developers, providing guidance on development strategy and technical solutions
    • Identify opportunities for improvement and ensure documentation is in place for knowledge transfer 
    • Enthusiastic about learning new Data based technologies and languages to modernize the Data Platforms area where appropriate
    • Engage and contribute to all Agile ceremonies and work collaboratively within the ETL team

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant IT experience
    • 2 years’ Ab Initio experience

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • SSIS experience
    • Oracle/SQL database experience
    • UNIX scripting experience
