    Your role in the team

     

    This is an exciting opportunity to join the technician family within the Implementation, Strategy and Operations (IS&O) area.  This department works closely with actuarial, quantitative analysts, underwriting and coverage consultants to develop, analyze, and implement needed price and underwriting changes in Allstate’s various lines of business.

     

    Project Management

     

    As a Pricing Technician you will be responsible for creating rate and rule filings, and associated communications with a given Department of Insurance (including Responses to Objections and Department Inquiries). You will Work with different business units to implement Rate and Rule change projects and Minor Initiatives.

     

    Process Improvement

     

    You will help identify process improvements opportunities including process improvements within insurance disciplines to improve quality, efficiency, and communication

     

    Stakeholder Relationships

     

    You will build relationships with different business units as well as internal customers in areas such as Technology, State Filings, other teams within Product Operations, as well as state Departments of Insurance. This can include generating Data Calls requested by Departments of Insurance and assisting with Technology Inquiries

     

    Successful applicants will undergo a comprehensive Pricing Technician onboarding and training program. This will ensure our newest team members have the necessary core competencies and skills required to be successful in the Pricing Technician role within our growing IS&O Pricing Technician team here at ANI.

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • Achieved 2 A level passes or equivalent
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook

     

    The successful candidate must also demonstrate competency in:

     

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills:

    o   Ability to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary groups and all organizational levels

    • High level organizational and project management skills:

    o   Able to handle multiple concurrent assignments in a timely manner

    o   Able to Monitor processes throughout a team or department

    • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
    • Works effectively in a team environment
    • Strong attention to detail:

    o   Can analyze data and review analysis from others

    o   Identify and resolve basic data issues

    • Related Industry Experience
    • Experience in use of Adobe Acrobat and Document Compare Software
