Digital Platform Product Owner

    LOCATION

    Donegall Square West, Belfast / Remote Working

     THE ROLE

    To support the Head of Personal Digital Solutions in delivering our digital ambitions by shaping the implementation of new and existing Digital Platforms. These platforms will provide innovative new digital functionality that will maximise customer experience and adoption.

    The Product Owner will also be responsible for identifying opportunities to develop and scale our platforms to maximise the bank’s digital footprint.  

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    As a Digital Platform Product Owner, working within Technology & Digital Development, you will:

    • Develop a vision and an associated delivery roadmap for our digital platforms in line with the Bank’s wider digital strategy
    • Work with Business Analysts, SMEs, system architects and the development team to define and champion the Product vision
    • Stand by your Product vision to support meeting the Definition of Ready ensuring a quality product meets or exceeds the end user and business needs
    • Leverage data driven insights to define and validate success metrics to maximise product value
    • Work with a Scrum Master to contribute to a productive and engaged scrum team
    • Manage the implementation and control of business strategies and initiatives in conjunction with the Management Team to increase market penetration and profitability
    • Monitor performance in terms of volumes and quality against plan and provide the Management Team with advice, guidance and recommend corrective action where necessary, to enhance performance and ensure consistency of approach
    • Work supportively and collaboratively with a complex stakeholder network, including business owners and multiple Tribes and Squads across Danske Bank Group and UK to ensure alignment and prioritisation where applicable
    • Oversee market research, validation, and analysis to benchmark our digital products against competitors and identify opportunities for new and existing features and functionality
    • Evaluate, analyse, and understand the voice of the customer through a variety of data sources
    • Ensure robust governance and risk management in line with bank policies, and maintained through the Danske Bank governance framework
    • Become the recognised expert in terms of Platform features, performance, legislation, industry practice, market place and provide technical guidance to the business where required
    • Lead the rollout, implementation and operation of strategies, initiatives, products, channels and campaigns by providing advice, guidance, interpretation and support in resolving operational issues
    • Support the Head of Personal Digital Solutions and Head of Customer Journeys in influencing relevant Danske Bank Group solutions and adopting these solutions as appropriate
    • Ensure all activities are aligned to the Bank strategy and core values thereby ensuring fair treatment of all customers

     

     WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS WILL YOU NEED?

     

    Essential:

    • Strong experience of successfully delivering business projects in accordance with objectives
    • Understanding and application of core project delivery competencies including Project Planning & Tracking, Risk & Issue Management, Stakeholder Management & Organisational Implementation
    • Experience assessing and prioritising Business Cases / Initiatives
    • Ability to communicate with and influence resources from different business / functional areas, interests and capability levels to work collaboratively and achieve objectives
    • Ability to work effectively and share best practice with colleagues
    • Effectiveness in leading, managing, coaching and developing teams

     

    Preferred:

     

    • Experience working with Pega to digitalise and automate customer journeys
    • In depth experience of managing complex initiatives within a financial services environment
    • Experience utilising project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro
    • Strong knowledge of Scrum and other Agile software development methods
    • Ability to collect and analyse information to solve complex problems rationally and make decisions on time for enhanced productivity
    • Strong knowledge of the financial services technology landscape with the ability to identify innovative 3rd party solutions and opportunities to re-imagine digital systems and processes

     

     

    Salary & Benefits
