Associate System Engineer

    As an Associate System Engineer in Finance, you will be instrumental in the experience of all our employees throughout the PEAK6. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, is resourceful in their problem-solving skills and is able to think creatively. This individual will work together with Sr. Finance System Analyst to support for our Finance Team and will take on projects that will require clear communication and completion in a timely manner. We want someone who has a passion for setting the performance bar and thrives in an energetic team environment, while delivering a fully integrated solution that fits into one unified technology stack.

     On the Finance System Team, you’ll be responsible for:

    • Collaborating with team members and leadership, implementing great support processes, procedures, and documentation.
    • Collaborate with team members to determine best technical solution to automate manual workloads. Creating solutions for end-users using development skills.
    • Integration development using middleware and RESTlets as defined by a specification and maintaining existing integrations
    • Providing support for end user systems and applications.
    • Identifying opportunities for business enablement through smart use of technology.
    • Quickly assess system issues and determine an accurate course of action.
    • Performing new hire onboarding, including account creation, setup role and permissions.
    • Managing, supporting, and provisioning business applications in a cloud-based environment.
    • Writing clear, concise documentation for team members in wiki tools (Confluence & GitHub).
    • Evaluating and recommending new software platforms and services.

    You’ll gain loads of experience in this role but before you do, you should have:

    • Python (pandas, numpy) & JavaScript experience. 1+ year.
    • Experience working in a desktop support environment, saving people’s e­-lives along the way.
    • An analytical mind, willing to continually dig deeper on everything put in front of you.
    • Understanding concepts of A/P & A/R, P2P & P2C modules (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procure to Cash, Procure to Pay)
    • Working knowledge of system Integrations and experience with API concepts. (SOAP and RESTful)
    • Experienced with creating SQL statements
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Must interact with users at all levels of the organization
    • Netsuite Experience is huge plus.
