    Your role in the team

     

     

    An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced risk practitioner to join our team. This position will play a key role in support of risk management throughout the Allstate Technology, Services & Ventures organization. 

    Success in this role requires initiative coupled with an ability to execute quickly and to the highest standards.  Individuals who are motivated by interaction with senior management and application of strong risk management process, principles, and analytics will be ideally suited to the role.  A good eye for detail coupled with responsive and positive attitude is essential.

    The Risk Consultant works with other risk management professionals and leaders, as well as technology and business teams, to ensure risk and return is appropriately delivered and imbedded throughout the organization.

      

     

    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

     

    • Building out and maintaining the Technology, Services & Ventures organization risk register.
    • Building key relationships with the various technology departments and working in partnership to identify and develop solutions to address key risk areas.
    • Forging effective engagement with key stakeholders on risk management, control, and governance matters.
    • Driving and monitoring risk mitigation initiatives across the Technology, Services & Ventures organization.
    • Coordinating efforts to promote risk management culture with the Technology, Services & Ventures organization.
    • Developing analytic and visual presentation strategies to ensure risk data is conveyed in meaningful and interpretive formats for all audience levels.
    • Playing a role in the facilitation of the annual enterprise operational risk assessment.
    • Conducting risk assessments on a wide variety of key processes and decisions.
    • Identifying and developing key metrics to focus on what matters most to the Organization.
    • Providing guidance in establishing risk tolerance levels.
    • Driving culture shift toward self-analysis & evidence-based decisions.


    Exposure to risk committees and risk reporting processes, risk assessments, risk analysis and metrics, and policy and procedure definition are a part of the hands-on experience.

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • Undergraduate Degree or relevant experience
    • 1-3 years work-based experience of:  
      • Demonstrated experience of analytical thinking and evaluating risks and concepts  
      • Experience delivering consultancy services and working with stakeholders as part of a team 
      • Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate information from a variety of sources

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Previous experience in risk management, compliance, control testing or a related discipline
    • Exposure to Tableau or similar analytical visual representation tools.
    • Data analysis and reporting experience
    • Presenting complex ideas at a senior level
