  Your role in the team

   

  Platform Security is responsible for managing Network security, Network segmentation and Endpoint security technologies at Allstate. This includes governance and innovation, architecture and design, plus engineering and operations support for the various security controls and monitoring technologies we deploy across the enterprise. We are responsible for insuring the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of Allstate systems.

   

  This is a role for a Network Security Analyst who will be responsible for engaging with the business and network security peers to implement Firewall Change Requests and ACI contract modifications. 

   

  Additional responsibilities will include participation in various projects, for example Firewall Rules Optimisation, Virgil development, PCI activities and general support activities.

   

  The successful candidate will be a key member of the Firewall Policy Operations team and should come with exposure to networking and/or security. We are seeking a pro-active, detail orientated and highly motivated individual who would also be comfortable with client facing aspects of the role.

  • Evaluating business area requests to facilitate Firewall rule updates
  • Ensuring requests meet information security standards
  • Implementing approved Firewall Change Requests
  • Implementing ACI Contract Modification Requests
  • Peer reviewing team member’s implementations
  • Liaising with interfacing Security and Network teams to troubleshoot Firewall incidents
  • Participating in ongoing Firewall Policy improvement activity
  • Participate in Firewall Rule Optimization activity

   

   

  So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

   

  • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a technology-based role
  • Experience of Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Solid understanding of IT Security concepts; and
  • Good understanding of networking (NAT, subnetting, VPN, switching and routing); and
  • Strong MS Excel skills; and
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into a technical solution

  • Exposure to Next Generation Firewalls
  • Experience of Firemon
  • Python scripting skills
  • Familiarity of Allstate Architecture
  • Knowledge of ACI Fabric
  • Knowledge of Server Load Balancing concepts
  • Cisco Certifications
  • Palo Alto Certifications
  • CompTia Security+ or Network+
  • Experience using Python or similar scripting language
