Having an established Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIBs) Team in place, we are seeking an experienced Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Specialist that will lead and develop from within, with our ‘DIBs’ motto in mind – ‘Bring your Difference’.

    We are keen to find a change agent with a passion for DIBs that will use their previous experience, enthusiasm and passion for the area to challenge the organisation, set targets and drive improvement across the organisation. This passion is what will enable you to bring the organisation with you – without which it will be difficult to make the changes we want and need to make.

    We are seeking a specialist with previous experience to lead, steer, and develop our DIBs agenda in line with our organisational culture, core values and growth plans – working with an existing DIBs team of volunteers from across the business. You will have strong communication skills, be able to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and demonstrate why a strong D&I improvement agenda drives improved outcomes for everyone.

    Job Description

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Create and implement interventions that mean our Recruitment processes are optimised in experience for all candidates and eliminate/reduce any potential bias points from the process.
    • Lead a team of volunteers from across the organisation representative of each office
    • Take a data-driven approach to DIBs with inputs from all stakeholders to output meaningful metrics and secure accreditation with key external charters/bodies.
    • Work with Marketing to enhance our employer branding and messaging to appeal to a diverse range of candidates
    • Lead our DIBs representatives from across the business with the freedom to devise new and improved ways to structure our networks for maximum impact.  
    • Review current workplace policies and procedures to ensure they are inclusive and make recommendations for improvement and drive resulting initiatives.
    • Research and advise on diversity and inclusion issues and create programmes around this relevant to each area of the organisation, leveraging great resources/materials we already have in place
    • Build on our Gender Pay Gap Reporting by working with our People team to drive improvements.
    • Identify external trends and recognise best practice which will increase diversity among the workforce – bring fresh ideas to the table and attend D&I events to keep on top of developments in the area.
    • Maintain relationships with diversity related businesses, with the intention of working together and improving our company brand.
    • Prepare and build relationships among colleagues through diversity and inclusion training.

    Qualifications

    • A track record of passion and engagement for Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging.
    • A proven ability to gather and interpret data to produce recommendations and action plans
    • Ability to build strong, influential relationships with senior stakeholders and provide advice and guidance to ensure effective outcomes.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills with people across diverse roles, backgrounds and cultures.
    • Drive to see tasks through to completion and to overcome obstacles in your way.
    • Ability to apply critical thinking skills to a variety of challenges, utilising data to gain insights and make appropriate recommendations.
    • Ability to work across multiple initiatives and effectively manage priorities.
    • Strong written and presenting skills to communicate initiatives and gain buy-in
