Team Manager - Production Support and Operations (hybrid or remote)

    Allstate operate a very flexible hybrid working policy that will allow you to design your working week in collaboration with your manager with a blend of remote and office working for NI based employees as well as condensed working patterns (4 day week/9 day fortnight). Employees based in GB will be employed on a permanent remote working contract.

    As a leader with Product Support and Operation (PS&O) you will collaborate within the team and across other engineering teams in Arity to implement and deliver cloud technologies. In addition to leading a passionate group of technologists across the globe, some of the things you’ll be getting stuck into are: - 

     

     

    • Putting automation first and foremost in how we can work smarter and drive greatereffectivenessin areas such as incident and problem management. At your disposal you have best-in-class tools like PagerDuty andRundeck.
    • Driving consistency across PS&O work intake to create greater visibility, tracking, and reporting of effort and measurement of goals.
    • Taking the lead in planning and implementing cross-training and up-skilling for critical skills and staff members across the global team.

     

     

    In short, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of strategic goals that have a meaningful impact right across the organisation.

    .So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a software engineering environment
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a people leader role
    • Must clearly demonstrate high-level knowledge and experience as a people manager
    • Experience leading in a cloud environment
    • Strong understanding and experience of Agile Scrum principles
    • Be a team player and partner with the Product Owner and Scrum Master
    • Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence, or equivalent

    • Willingness to learn and quickly adopt new technologies that impact telematics development
    • Knowledge ofAWS
    • Knowledge of Incident response
    • Knowledge of problem resolution
