    Your role in the team

     

    Allstate NI are looking for a communications consultant to join our high-impact team. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to every part of our marketing and communications.

     

    As part of the Corporate Communications team at Allstate NI you will work in an experienced team to deliver remarkable results. We work together to build creative communications in a fast paced, but relaxed environment.

    Internal Communications

     

    • Develop written communications that create an understanding of complex subject matter and uses language in an innovative and creative way to reinforce key messages
    • Prepare publications, digital messages, employee communications, newsletters and materials for internal audiences
    • Communicate company strategy to teams to help them understand their role in achieving the corporate goals
    • Participate in strategic planning sessions that lead to the development of communication plans
    • Contributes to team strategy, objectives, plans and policies
    • Partner with the Senior Leadership team to understand business objectives and how communications will help achieve organisational objectives

     

    Analytics

     

    • Identify communication measures and metrics to ensure desired outcomes and alignment to business goals
    • Analyse results of different communication approaches
    • Contribute ideas on analytics improvements
    • Lead employee experience and emotional intelligent insights for the organisation

     

    External Marketing

     

    • Works with a wide range of external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
    • Builds a network of external contacts; develops and maintains relationships
    • Event management
    • Create high-level online content and material for publication throughout multiple platforms
    • Propose new ways of creating and distributing content that expands the company's reach

     

    The ideal person will be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

     

    • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills
    • Creative skills and ability to analyze and integrate client needs into an effective deliverable
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
    • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
    • Ability to perform under pressure, work independently and efficiently
    • Strategic thinking skills
    • Able to multi-task, prioritize and resolve multiple inquiries at once

     

     

     

    Hours of work

     

    • Standard Monday to Friday
    • Flexible start and finish times and condensed working options available

     

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in communications, marketing or PR
    • Content development and change management experience
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Forms, One Note)
    • Experience of maintaining and managing content for intranets

     

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Experience in working in Internal Communications area
    • Experience of working in IT/insurance/financial industry within a large blue-chip company
    • Videography – including filming, editing and production for social media
    • Exceptional writing skills with a proven ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills & strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
    • Comfortable in taking initiative and able to work with minimum supervision.
    • Creative skills and ability to analyze and integrate client needs into an effective deliverable
    • Ability to perform under pressure
    • Strategic thinking skills
    • Ability to understand how organizational change management is applied to the people side of change
    • Social media/content creation experience
