    Your role in the team

This role is in the Data & Intelligent Systems Enterprise Data Management area specifically in the Enterprise Reference Data Platform team.  This is a key area that supports application and product development across the Enterprise and is an enabler for the realization of the Allstate Enterprise Data Strategy and Transformative Growth.

The role primarily involves enhancing, supporting and maintaining a set of Tier 0 Services, as well as the related data lifecycle management tools and applications which are used to promote and manage the Enterprise Reference data in an Oracle database. Allstaters in the Development community would recognize these services as the CodeDecode web services (Simple & Complex Codes) and associated services accessible through the Allstate Data Guide.

Primary CodeDecode services have been refactored on Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) but we also support the legacy SOAP service in .NET, for residual usage.  All other supported applications and services are currently on .NE T and under review for reengineering in line with Target State Architecture.

The development/support function is based in ANI.  We primarily support a team of Codes Analysts, split between US and ANI, as well as products/projects managed out of all shores.

    • Perform maintenance and support for the existing applications and services
    • Refactor/enhance existing tools to a more modern infrastructure inline with Target State Architecture
    • Identify, design and drive the modernization, automation, remediation and total cost of ownership reduction of existing applications and services
    • Build, manage and operate the infrastructure and configuration of various components and tools to continuously improve the CI/CD pipeline
    • Participates in knowledge sharing and contributes to the overall growth of the collective knowledge of the team
    • There is a secondary role to support and maintain a set of varied .Net/C# applications that are also outside the primary function role of the Team.

So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • 4+ years of IT experience working with windows servers and/or software development
