    Your role in the team

     

     

    The Data Analyst (Python) will be part of a new and growing team in Roadside Insurance team within Allstate NI.  We are looking for a candidate who has experience coding in Python who will be able to build scripts to pull data from our data sources. Ideally you will have Python coding experience with an emphasis on data analysis frameworks such as pandas and numpy. Ideally you will be comfortable with the data wrangling process including connecting to and manipulating raw data into a clean and useable format.

     

    The team will work together to build reports and make sense of data through exploratory analysis as well as adding value by developing dashboards that assist with business decisions.

     

    Ideally suited to someone who is a self starter, willing to learn and has a positive can do attitude. This role has plenty of opportunity to learn and develop as the team expands in the next few years.

     

    • Use python queries to pull data from our cloud storage environment
    • Financial reporting and meaningful analysis to support business decisions
    • Participate and complete adhoc projects/requests
    • Work closely with management teams and key stakeholders in the organization to develop an understanding of the information requirements across the business.
    • Ensure credibility by providing high quality (accurate, timely, relevant) financial measurement, reporting, planning and consulting.

     

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • 1- 3 years experience in a data driven role

     

     

    Band A3/ Band B1

     

     

    • Currently at Band B1, or
    • Band A3 with a 2020 end of year performance score of 3 or above; and
    • At least 12 months experience in a data driven role
    • Proven commercial experience with Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze, manipulate, and interpret large amounts of data; and
    • Experience in coding Python or SQL or related (Python preferred)
    • Ability to use Python or SQL to query large data sets,
    • Applicants must be either EU citizens or possess a current UK visa which entitles the holder to take up full time employment, AND
    • Applicants must be willing and eligible to travel to the USA
