    Your role in the team

    This is an exciting opportunity to join Allstate Northern Ireland (ANI) as we build out a small team in ANI, with various levels of experience to develop reporting and ETL processes for our Claims organization.

    As a Data Reporting & Visualization Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the information needs of the Claims Workflow COE department. You will contribute to the development of data and information delivery solutions in response to business initiatives and issues. You will investigate, track, prioritize, and communicate data and reporting related issues. You will use data and reports to to tell a story, adding value and identifying opportunities where you see potential for Claims to work more efficiently

     

    Customer Service

    • Makes and maintains a connection with the customer by understanding and meeting their needs; serves the customer with empathy; and follows up to ensure that customer needs have been met
    • Researches and responds to moderately complex and occasionally complex customer communications, concerns, conflicts or issues

     

    Reporting Development

    • Assists and leads in identifying actionable insights and recommendations to influence the direction of the business by effectively communicating results across functional groups.
    • Preparing reports that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data to enable leader’s visibility of progress towards Claims strategic goals
    • Assists and leads in developing analytics “story” and visual presentation strategies to ensure data is conveyed in meaningful and interpretive formats for all audience levels.
    • Analyzes structured and unstructured data from a number of sources to identify drivers
    • Provides recommendations and forecasts operational volume for work conditions and staffing models
    • Reviews results, identifies variances to planned performance, analyzes causes of variance and make actionable recommendations to frontline leaders
    • Analyzes data output from multiple systems and explains complex results
    • Create and articulate a story based off multiple data points

     

     

    Technology Development

    • Develops/leads/customizes existing technologies to enhance claim handling and leadership functions across mutliple platforms
    • Participates in the implementation of new technology in the Claims Workflow COE across mutliple platforms, and outside of Workflow as appropriate.
    • Collaborates with and consults to leadership regarding technology needs and solutions
    • Supports management in developing strategies to address technology opportunities in claim settlement process through review and analysis of related measurements
    • Maintains adherance to Information Security Standards for employees and leaders

     

    Other

    • Build relationships across teams and departments, work as part of a team
    • Manage time effectively including ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize workload

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • A minimum of 12 months related experience
    • Experience of BI Products, building Dashboards using Power BI, Tableau or similar products
    • Knowledge with relational databases and data warehouses (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server)
    • Microsoft Excel skill (ex. sum function, charts, sorting, filters)
    • Applies knowledge of analytical procedures to reconcile, manipulate, and recognize patterns of data
    • Ability to problem solve and prepare reports for analysis, with strong focus on attention to detail

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Bachelors degree in related field
    • Business Objects Experience
    • Business intelligence, including strong understanding of corporate structure
