    Your role in the team

     

     

    Direct Sales and Services and Marketing Technology (DSS&MT) are responsible for all customer interactions within Allstate. Customer communications are the team, within DSS&MT, which produce all client facing documents both paper and electronic. Customer communications are the team which produce all client facing documents, we work closely with our US partners to deliver upon new State legislation which must be communicated to customers.

     

    We use several software tools and systems to do so including Exstream and TIBCO to generate the data used to populate pre-defined documents. These documents contain lots of variable data, so the document composition software can be quite complex. We produce over 1,000,000 documents per night which are then either printed by our own dedicated print center or rendered electronically onto iPhones or web servers.

     

    Due to additional project work we are looking for a developer to join the Customer Communications team to work on our Exstream toolset.  On the job training will be provided. Our CC Applications are responsible for processing and producing documents for over 22,000,000 policies. If you have an interest in how new legislation translates to technology this is the team for you.

     

    The successful candidate will participate in design, development and implementation of maintenance projects and problem fixes. They will be responsible for leading and driving their assigned workload and interacting with the team and on occasion business clients. The successful candidate will work in a fully agile environment within a scrum team.

     

     The successful candidate will be responsible for;

     

    • The design, development and implementation of projects in Opentext Exstream to enhance the current product.
    • They will lead the triage of issues raised in the product and implement the appropriate fixes.
    • They will be responsible for leading and driving their assigned workload and interacting with the team and on occasion business clients.

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • Have at least 2 years I.T experience
    • Have at least 2 years’ experience building software solutions
    • Be able to demonstrate a passion for learning and learning agility
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

     

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Experience working in a Scrum team
