    Your role in the team

     

    We are delighted to be offering this exciting opportunity to join an XP team building software for the Transformative Growth – Product Management (TGPM) organization. As the successful candidate, you will use the latest selected technology stack in your day-to-day development activities. This will include Spring and MongoDB initially but may include ReactJS components in the future.  

     

    As part of the PM ART, we are on track for MVP delivery. We have been working on critical PME - transaction APIs, accessing Lightweight Data Services and onboarding additional business-related components to complete the Data Enrichment capabilities required for TG Rating and Ratemaking business functions. 

     

    We are looking for an engineer with a passion for software engineering and in delivering a quality product through best practice software engineering principles and practices as the team will be contributing to critical Transformative Growth TG commitments as part of the wider Transformational Growth program. This is a fantastic opportunity to come and join our innovative team, working at the very core of the business. 

     

    • Engage in training on the business functions of Rating and Ratemaking  
    • Continue our focus on building out critical components to satisfy Data Enrichment requirements within these business areas  
    • As part of a team, you will also be responsible for delivery of some more complex Rating & Ratemaking features following MVP release, as well as subsequent state rollout of our product  
    • You will also be expected to get an understanding of the Product Management Platform and stay up-to-date with developments on this platform and incorporate those into our developing product, running experiments and applying these where appropriate  
    • Reporting & resolution of issues, collaborating with a number of teams and communicating appropriately regarding issues and resolution  
    • Retaining our customer focus on availability and reliability  

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • Have at least 3 years I.T. experience
    • Have at least 2 years’ experience in a software engineering role
    • Be able to demonstrate a passion for learning and learning agility;
    • Have excellent communications skills.

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Spring experience. 
    • Rating or Ratemaking business knowledge
    • PCF/Jenkins/ CI/CD
    • TDD experience
