    Your role in the team

     

    This role will focus on working with the Senior Engineer in managing the Allstate Data Classification and Protection platform to ensure that the Data Protection Services program is in place to meet business needs and drivers.

     

     

    • Assist in implementing, managing and sustaining Data Classification and Protection tools and services
    • Collaborate with Data Protection Services Data Loss Prevention team mates to ensure that Data Classification and Protection tools are in sync with Data Loss Prevention tools
    • Create documentation
    • Troubleshooting issues / document root cause / resolutions
    • Collect metrics and reporting of details relevant to Data Classification and Protection
    • Collaborate with Allstate teams to meet Data Classification and Protection objectives
    • Act as point of escalation for Data Classification issues.
    • Follow Allstate processes and procedures
    • Follow industry specific security best practices

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • 4+ years’ experience in an IT or security related role
    • Experience with a data classification suite within an enterprise (e.g. Microsoft Information Protection in Office 365, Microsoft 365 compliance, Titus Classification, etc)
    • Strong understanding of security best practices and networking concepts in an enterprise environment.
    • Basic to moderate experience with scripting (e.g. Regex, PowerShell, Pearl, etc.)
    • Basic to moderate experience with cloud computing (e.g. Azure, AWS, etc)

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Self-learner with a passion for IT security who is adaptable to changing requirements
    • Ability to work successfully with others in large and small teams.
    • Ability to motivate and inspires others to perform at a high level, taking appropriate risks, and accepting personal accountability for actions and decisions.
    • Assertiveness - Ability to troubleshoot incidents until root cause resolutions.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to transform technical knowledge into business language (e.g. reports, presentations, etc.)
