Role Details
We are delighted to be offering an exciting opportunity to join an existing and experienced Product team as a Senior Full Stack Engineer in Claims Tech Solutions. The Senior Full Stack Engineer serves as technical lead for a specific digital product team. They own the establishment of known best practices within the team, and in defining new ones where none exist. They lead the team in designing and building cloud native applications following 12-factor principles. They guide the team in the selection of the simplest technologies that would enable the team to deliver features with a bias for modern open standards. They collaborate with other product teams to share practices and play an active part in the decision-making process.
As the Managing Engineer for your product team you will act as a player coach, leading by example in the day to day execution of build out of technical product capabilities. You will serve as the anchor of the team and provide technical leadership, helping guide the team in choosing the right technology, solving technical problems, and resolving any technical conflicts within the team. You will lead shaping of the architecture and design of the product, as well as collaborate on strategy across product portfolios in partnership with product managers, other peers and key stakeholders.
As Managing Engineer you will be an advocate of continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices. You would coach the team and advocate the use of paired programming and test-driven development in writing software and building products
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
As Senior Full Stack Engineer you will have a passion for software development coupled with experience working in an agile environment leveraging test driven development.
You will have experience developing software in different programming languages and demonstrated ability to quickly learn new languages and technologies, including but not limited to JavaScript, Java (Spring), and .NET. You will also have experience developing REST apis and backend design and implementation.
Additionally you will have experience on modern JavaScript tools such as Webpack, Babel, Gulp, NPM. You will have experience developing continuous integration, continuous delivery and continuous deployment pipelines for distributed apps, as well as knowledge and experience on approaches and tools for automated testing and monitoring.
