    Your role in the team

     

    The CMDB Developer / Administrator supports the overall strategic objectives for Allstate Canada.  The individual is responsible for defining, building, analyzing, enforcing and reporting activities as it relates to CMDB and Asset Management.

     

     

    • Develop and maintain Allstate Canada’s Configuration Management Plan and Governance Model.
    • Ensure the validity of configuration data through building and maintaining processes supporting ITSM workflow integrations
    • Serve as Configuration Manager and Process Designer for ServiceNow CMDB implementation while providing consultation to ITSM process development.
    • Responsible for ServiceNow CMDB and Asset Administration, Discovery, CMDB Configuration & Asset process engineering.
    • Responsible for CMDB/Asset integration troubleshooting, data imports, tool customization, creating business rules, managing changes with update sets, managing data with import sets.
    • Define configuration policies, CI attribute selection criteria, design configuration control processes, CMDB auditing, change control and discrepancy reporting.
    • Develop and maintain CMDB KPIs to accurately report on the state of CMDB including Correctness, Staleness, Orphaned, Completeness KPIs.
    • Relationship dependency mappings, ongoing troubleshooting of CMDB and Discovery configuration
    • Lead the effort to implement CMDB changes and strategic direction, change control and configuration management

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • A bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
    • 5+ years’ experience in an IT environment with a minimum of 3+ years’ experience managing and/or supporting CMDB
    • Solid understanding of CMDB design, Discovery identification, reconciliation rules and mechanisms
    • Solid understanding of ITIL processes and/or certification
    • Experience working with current ServiceNow releases e.g. Madrid, New York, Orlando and/or Paris

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Development experience in ServiceNow (e.g. Java, Scripting, etc)
    • ServiceNow Administrator (Certified)
    • Project management experience and skills are an asset
    • Strong scripting skills are an asset
    • Bilingual French is an asset
    • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff
    • Lead and inspire innovation and the adoption of best practices
    • ITIL Foundations
    • Experience working with or implementing CSDM (Common Services Data Model)
