Your role in the team
Platform Services is focused on the support of self-service tools and automated processes, which enable Allstate Developers and Testers to develop, test and deploy their code in line with the principals of Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) & DevOps. Platform Services provides solutions across the organization supporting over 5000 developers.
The role of the Lead Platform Engineer is to oversee a team who support and provide self-service to Application Developers for enterprise level tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, SonarQube, Octopus Deploy and allow them to build pipelines.
The technology is continually evolving, and we need a Tech Lead who has a passion for DevOps to help define and implement its roadmap and work on its engineering team.
Candidates must be self-motivated, curious and collaborative IT professionals who will continually learn and develop their skills. Ideally you will have a strong background and experience in one or more of the following: Systems Administration, IT automation or Software Development.
