    Your role in the team

    The Enterprise Integration and Middleware DevOps team is responsible for the development and support of tools that provide detailed analytics and automation of the platforms we support. This is a diverse, collaborative, global team where differing viewpoints are welcomed.

    We are looking for positive, passionate people who thrive in fast-paced, Agile environments.  This role would contribute to the development of analytics and automation tools for a variety of middleware platforms such as WebSphere, Apigee, Kafka, and TIBCO.  Exceling in this role requires the ability to provide technical solutions while communicating and collaborating with many other teams in the organization. Key technical skills include development with Java, Python, Node.JS, and Angular.

    • Develop robust analytics and automation solutions for all middleware platforms
    • Refactor existing tools to a more modern infrastructure
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to identify new opportunities for improvement
    • Ensure all code adheres to established industry and company standards
    • Resolve incidents and perform root causes analysis on issues related to our tools
    • Communicate with leaders, stakeholders, and users on process changes
    • Measure and report on the impact of all improvement efforts

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • 3+ years of IT experience working with middleware platforms and/or software development
    • Experience with Python, Java, or Node.JS development
    • Comfortable working in an environment where priorities change rapidly
    • Able to effectively collaborate with a diverse team using tools such as MS Teams and Zoom
    • Driven to deliver high-quality results without direct supervision

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

    • Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, VersionOne, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitHub
    • Experience working in an Agile environment
    • History of developing automation and/or analytics for enterprise platforms
    • Knowledge of MySQL and MongoDB is preferred
