    Allstate operate a very flexible hybrid working model with a blend of remote and office working for NI based employees.  Employees based in GB will be employed on a permanent remote working contract.

    Your role in the team

     

    Allstate IA is seeking individuals with substantial operational audit and leadership experience to join our team. We value creativity, enthusiasm and teamwork. We are looking for someone who has a natural curiosity and is passionate about leading people and projects. You will apply a risk-based approach to audit projects that are operational and strategic in nature. You will oversee your audit programs and project plans and have full accountability for all audits under your leadership. The Audit Manager will have the responsibility of leading and developing a team of auditors located in Northern Ireland who will work with U.S. based auditors on projects across the Allstate enterprise. You will also be asked to play a key role in developing others during each engagement through coaching and delegation.

     

     

    Allstate Internal audit provides opportunities for you to get a broad picture of the organization and exposure to leaders and subject matter experts across Allstate. Our audits cover all aspects of the business, including a variety of disciplines such as distribution, customer service, product operations, claims, operations, investments, compliance, human resources and finance. Additionally, we collaborate with risk management functions and other senior leaders for coordinated engagements on large scale strategic initiatives throughout Allstate.

     

     

    • Leads complex audits leveraging audit knowledge to deliver high quality results, consistent with the audit plan and guidelines. Key components include:
    • Independently performs an assessment to determine audit scope
    • Creates the audit program and manages the execution and development of the audit test procedures and analysis of results, quality, and conclusions.
    • Ensures standards and documentation requirements are met.
    • Drafts high quality reports that are succinct, factual and value-adding
    • Consults in ad-hoc advisory engagements while working closely with business units to share risk considerations as they develop, implement and monitor strategic projects.
    • Builds and leverages business relationships to maintain the pulse of the environment and provides input on risk and controls during risk assessment and annual planning process.
    • Provide the appropriate level of project planning, delegation of work, and supervision of assigned staff to ensure planned audits meet Allstate IA’s process expectation
    • Ensure the client is addressing audit issues appropriately and in a timely manner, as agreed upon at the conclusion of the audit engagement.
    • Effectively manage and develop team to build broad and deep bench strength in the skills needed for internal audit.
    • Encourage employee engagement through on-the-job support and communication of policies and procedures.
    • Perform performance management process according to company standards for all direct reports.
    • Lead the development of new department strategies, tactics and audit methodologies.
    • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication including exhibiting strong partnering skills with the ability to interact with various levels of management and external stakeholders

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • Extensive audit and/or business experience (5+ years), including successfully leading operational audits that were leveraged to provide thought leadership and value to clients
    • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities for complex business issues.
    • Strong people leadership, as well as project and time management skills.
    • Ability to effectively influence individuals to action.
    • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
    • Flexibility, adaptability and comfort in dealing with all business areas (Market Facing Businesses, AORs, Shared Services), as well as complex and sensitive situations.
    • ACCA, CPA, CFE, ACA qualified/part-qualified or a CIA certified applicant.
    • Related Degree.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with strong analytics skills using Excel and/or experience using other reporting tools a plus.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities.
    • Have not been unsuccessful in the 30min “case study assessment” and interview process for Auditing opportunities within the past 6 months
