    Your role in the team

     

    ServiceNow team is an Agile team focused on both building out new and maintaining existing services and Platform functions to help serve and meet the needs of our large user community spread across the enterprise. The ServiceNow Function is made up of two teams, the Platform team and the Catalog team.

     

    The ServiceNow Catalog team continuously build and develop new services to help simplify and automate the ever-increasing demands of the customer. We integrate and interface with multiple areas including, voice, finance, security, Mainframe, Oracle, server platforms etc.

     

    The ServiceNow Platform team maintain all modules in the Platform outside of catalog and Portal and are particularly involved in the maintenance of ITSM modules. The team also look after the integrity, stability and performance of the platform and are responsible for all upgrades and patch releases. They also look after system integrations with external tools and applications and monitor system performance. The team operate in an agile scrum environment with daily standups, sprint planning and retrospective meetings all part of the agile cycle.

     

    This opportunity has arisen to work on development within the ServiceNow platform to modernize and optimize the experience for Allstate Employees and Agents. The key focus will be on Mobile development and system integrations. This is an opportunity to take on new and challenging work gaining knowledge both in ServiceNow Platform and Front-End research, design and development.

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • Minimum 4 years’ experience in application development in either Java, DotNet or JavaScript; and
    • Experience with troubleshooting and resolving code issues; and
    • Excellent customer facing, communication and organizational skills

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Mobile design experience
    • ServiceNow development or Administration experience
    • Database Experience in terms of maintaining/updating tables and integrating with front end services
    • System integration experience using web services and experience in any of HTML, CSS, HTTP, REST/SOAP, JSON, AngularJS
    • Knowledge of Data Analytics
