    Your role in the team

     

    Allstate’s strategy continues to put a growing focus on data and technology as we continue our digital transformation journey.  This has created numerous opportunities in the technology organization to find work that is meaningful to you as we build innovative products.

     

    Our Unified Consumer View Technology Solutions (UCV-TS) team is responsible for delivering new functionality to support the Consumer Data platform and providing a 360 view of customer information across all channels. UCV is integral to the Transformative Growth initiative as the enterprise responds to a shift in customer demand from the traditional methods of conducting business and buying products.

     

    We have a great opportunity for an Application Developer to join our Customer Data Quality team. This team is responsible for ensuring that the UCV data is maintained at a high level by identifying potential data quality issues and addressing them with bespoke solutions. The team is also responsible for the development and maintenance of the Customer Data Workstation (CDW) which is an internally developed application which provides users the ability to search and maintain UCV data.

     

    • Participate in the analysis of UCV’s consumer data to identify any potential data quality issues
    • Enthusiastically design, develop and test production-ready solutions to address any data quality issues identified
    • Implement changes to the CDW application to introduce improvements that result in an improved workflow for the users, add additional consumer data elements to the app or ensure that the app remains compliant with security, enterprise or architectural directives
    • Provide support to the CDW user base and handle any code fixes that are identified through the team’s incident management and problem management process.
    • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and other parts of dynamic Agile development.
    • Supports Innovation; regularly provides new ideas to help people, process, and technology that interact with analytic ecosystem.

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • A minimum of 2 years commerical IT experience
    • A minimum of 1 years’ experience developing applications using C# .Net
    • A minimum of years’ experience using SQL including writing some complex queries

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

    • Prior experience with Java development
    • Good communication skills especially on technical topics.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced and focused team, preferably within an Agile delivery model.
    • Experience in in performing descriptive, prescriptive, or predictive analytics on large scale data.
    • Experience working with deeply nested data structures.
    • Understanding of relational databases and database structures preferably ORACLE/MONGO
