    Your role in the team

     

    As Compliance professionals within Allstate, the successful candidates will be part of a team based in Belfast working closely with the Allstate Investments, Compliance and Legal functions in the USA. These areas support the Allstate Corporation in a wide range of activities from regulatory reporting, risk management and monitoring.

     

    The Compliance Department of Allstate Investments provides regulatory and operational compliance services to both an unregistered and a Securities and Exchange Commission registered investment adviser.  The Compliance Department creates, implements, administers and enforces policies, procedures and activities required for the advisers to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. 

     

    Our Compliance team will assist the Compliance Department and associated business areas by ensuring that policies, procedures and practices are consistent with regulatory and control requirements.  In addition, they will assist the business areas by researching and responding to routine inquiries related to policies and procedures.

     

     

    • Perform and complete the day-to-day responsibilities related to pre-clearance approvals and limits monitoring for the AIMCO and Allstate Investments LLC portfolios.
    • Perform and complete periodic risk assessments, reviews and tests to ensure successful implementation of policies and procedures through surveillance, monitoring, and examinations, and report the results to a Compliance Manager with minimal open items for their attention.
    • Perform and complete any investigation in collaboration with others to resolve potential compliance issues.
    • Assist team leadership by participating in compliance related projects to improve the compliance program and its overall efficiency.
    • Collect and organize information for the preparation of management and governance reports, including potential compliance issues, investment limits, and operational concerns.
    • Respond to inquiries and questions pertaining to compliance policies and procedures.
    • Perform monthly, quarterly and year end regulatory reporting activities.
    • Assist with onboarding new Investments staff in relation to compliance required training.
    • Act as point of contact for compliance issues for UK operations.
    • Complete testing to assess compliance with the requirements of policies, procedures and internal controls.
    • Provide consulting on courses of action to ensure optimal outcomes.
    • Work closely with management teams and key stakeholders in the organization.

     

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience;
    • High level of Proficiency in Microsoft office, e.g. Excel
    • At least two years’ experience in a Compliance related role. (Consultant level)
    • High level of Proficiency in Microsoft office, e.g. Excel
    • Ability to identify and document potential compliance-related issues. (Consultant level)
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and deliver high quality work in a fast-paced environment (Consultant level)
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • A compliance/risk management certification such as CISI (Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments) or similar.
    • Ability to analyze, manipulate, and interpret large amounts of data.
    • Team player with strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Good written and oral communication skills
