Allstate operate a very flexible hybrid working model with a blend of remote and office working for NI based employees. Employees based in GB will be employed on a permanent remote working contract.

The Team Arity is a new technology company within Allstate that uses advanced predictive analytics to help partners evaluate risk and make sense of everyday experiences. Our proprietary algorithms analyze billions of data points, distilling the flood of information into simple actionable insights. The Lead Automation Engineer role is part of the Arity Product Performance team. This role will drive and support critical strategic design and technical leadership of progressive, fully autonomous testing solutions utilizing machine learning where appropriate across our Arity Product suite. Utilizing agile methodologies and extensive cloud technologies Arity is in the process of rolling out our new Platform and we now need a strong time proven technical lead to play a key role in our Arity team.
The Lead Automation Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining the strategy and design for the continuous delivery framework and tools and as such will act as a subject matter expert on CI/CD pipelines. They need to analyse the long-term impact of any new strategies and contribute to the overall Arity strategy. Contributing to the technology strategy and engineering roadmaps around our cloud and non-cloud platforms, whilst initiating and implementing continuous improvements in all areas of engineering responsibility. Anticipating issues and developing preventative measures is another key responsibility.
The Lead Automation Engineer needs to manage workloads in an Agile development environment coupled with coaching of more junior team members in Agile principles and practices. Engaging appropriate stakeholders in risk identification and mitigation Designs, whilst developing and overseeing strategic technical direction for highly integrated, autonomous test solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who has a real passion for technology and are advocates of software engineering best practices and continuous improvement and enjoys keeping up to date in industry trends and best practice.
