Senior Technical Recruiter (Global R&D)

  • Hi, I’m Jenny Berkedal, Director of Global Talent at Puppet,

I’m looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter to join our team as a full-cycle hiring partner for Puppet’s global R&D organization. As a strategic partner to Puppet’s Product and Engineering leadership teams, you are adept at connecting the hiring needs of the R&D org to the most interesting candidates who bring curiosity, empathy, personal accountability, and diversity of thought to their work. You take pride in your ability to identify key talent sources, profile competitive talent, build diverse pipelines, and develop meaningful relationships with both candidates and hiring managers.

The type of talent we recruit is often passive, engaged in their work, and an active contributor/performer at their current company.  You meaningfully attract and guide candidates through our hiring process, connecting their passion and potential to our mission of eliminating soul-crushing work. You’re a problem-solver; brainstorming, experimenting, collaborating, and iterating quickly to identify and implement the right solutions. You're comfortable with numbers and drawing insights from analytics to make our hiring process smarter and more efficient.

    Meaningful work you’ll contribute

    • Serve as an ambassador of Puppet, relaying a compelling picture of our company, vision, culture, open roles, and opportunity to prospective candidates
    • Manage the full cycle recruiting process, from sourcing to closing candidates for all Product and Engineering positions across Europe, North America, and Oceania. This will require the ability to shift your schedule in order to support offices in our various global locations.
    • Strategize different ways to build candidate pipeline and execute on tactical research, ongoing informational interviews, events, and sourcing campaigns
    • Empower and enable hiring managers to play an active role in the talent acquisition process
    • Play a key role in creating and maintaining an inclusive and diverse environment
    • Utilize our applicant tracking system to ensure consistency across organizations, data integrity and transparent reporting
    • Host, attend, and speak publicly at recruiting events as an ambassador of Puppet and driver of our talent brand

    You are…

    • An active listener who seeks to understand the needs and motivations of both hiring teams and candidates
    • You’re passionate about driving Puppet’s success through hiring diverse perspectives.
    • A team player—you understand talent acquisition is a challenge best tackled as a team effort. You effectively partner with your hiring managers, recruiting colleagues, and collaborators.
    • You are a problem solver at heart. You aren’t just looking to build upon existing methods and processes but have a critical and practical approach to finding a ‘better way’.
    • Resilient and adaptable to changing winds. We’re a fast-paced, agile company, and that excites you!

Valuable experiences and skills you’ll bring to Puppet

    • 5+ years of corporate recruiting experience -- including experience recruiting globally and experience hiring at the manager and director level.
    • 2+ years of corporate experience recruiting for Engineering and Product positions
    • Experience using Greenhouse (or similar Applicant Tracking System) and Linkedin Recruiter.
    • Direct experience building a diverse employee population by helping managers develop diverse pipelines, sourcing via Linkedin Recruiter, and ensuring an inclusive hiring process.
    • Effective partnership skills with the drive to be responsive, action-oriented, and the ability to manage rapidly changing priorities with tact and diplomacy.
    • Experience managing GDPR and EEOC compliant process
    • Project management, including establishing clear project objectives, defining key stakeholders, breaking work into tasks and key milestones, and managing progress and accountability.

Bonus, but not required (shout about it in your application if you have experience):

    • Experience recruiting in our industry (Devops, IT Configuration Management, DevSecOps, Compliance, Hybrid Cloud, Orchestration)
    • Former agency recruiting experience is a plus!

We are hiring at various experience levels and we’re particularly interested in having a diverse team with a broad set of skills and viewpoints. If this seems like your dream job, but you’re not sure if you qualify, apply anyway!
