    Software Engineer

    As a Software Engineer you will work as part of an agile team to rapidly and effectively deliver great software that adds real value to our customers. You will be challenged.     In this role, you will:

    • Take a customer-centric approach to deliver real value and solve complex business problems working as part of an agile team.
    • Communicate and collaborate with your team and customers to have exposure and participation in the entire software development lifecycle.
    • Deliver high quality, tested and secure code following the processes and standards within the team.
    • Continuously develop your skills and knowledge.
    • Use a range of architectures, tools and frameworks, and have the opportunity to experiment and learn new technologies.
    • Identify areas for improvement across all aspects of the product and suggest and implement new ideas and innovations to make these improvements.
    • Actively seek opportunities to collaborate with and learn from Engineers across our organization through internal networks, events and communities of practice.

     

    The ideal candidate will:

    • It would also be beneficial for candidates to have experience in JavaScript frameworks / libraries such as Angular.js, React.js, Vue.js etc., Spring Framework, SAFe awareness, PCF and/or AWS.

     

    Essential Criteria

    • A third level degree in an Information Technology or Computer Science related field.
    • A minimum of one year software development experience in a commercial environment.
    • Solid knowledge and experience working with technologies related to the role.
    • A proven ability to deliver high quality, working Java code.

     

    Liberty IT are transitioning to a hybrid, remote and in-office, working culture. Currently our offices are closed and all employees are working virtually.

    Post-pandemic and when it is safe to do so, Liberty IT employees will continue to work virtual first, with office time in our Dublin or Belfast offices dedicated to a specific purpose or based on personal choice of working environment.

    Flexible work patterns including part time working hours and compressed working weeks are available.
