    This Test Strategist role is part of the Arity Testing Services organization and will support and drive achievement of progressive, fully autonomous testing solutions utilizing machine  learning where appropriate across our Arity Product suite. We are looking for a passionate and skilled individual with a talent for building quality software, working as part of an Agile team, demonstrating problem-solving abilities, and the ability to present and share ideas through global collaboration.

     

    Utilizing agile methodologies and extensive cloud technologies Arity is hard at work creating the future of continuous testing and we now need a strong, energetic and inquisitive strategist to play a key role in our Arity team.

     

    The Test Strategist role will incorporate creating comprehensive test strategies for various products within areas of responsibility, developing high value partnerships with the Product Owners and product teams. We are looking for a passionate individual who will embrace our technical strategy for continuous delivery  initiating and implementing continuous improvements in all areas of responsibility whilst managing workloads in an agile environment. The successful candidate will coach and mentor the test engineers in the support of the engineering roadmaps, anticipating issues and developing preventative measures for highly integrated, autonomous test solutions.

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK
    • 5+ years’ experience in all aspects of software testing; and
    • 1+ years’ experience in creating and driving test strategy: and
    • Solid understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD)
    • Solid understanding of Continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD): and
    • Agile certifications or strong agile experience

     

    **Please note that this is a 12-month Fixed Term opportunity**

    We also have some desirable criteria

    • Experience of Test Automation Development experience with open source and market-leading vended solutions creating functional, regression, or performance tests
    • Experience developing/consuming Web Services (REST, SOAP, JSON), ETL jobs and APIs; and
    • Working knowledge of scripting languages e.g. (Perl, JavaScript, Python, JACL, Node.js); and
    • Experience utilizing open source libraries and re-usable components; and
    • Experience with common tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, GitHub, InelliJ, JUnit, JIRA, Maven
    • Experience with delivering using Agile methodology practices
    • Experience of cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, Pivotal Cloud Foundry
    • Knowledge of security (risks and threats, authentication, authorization, certificates, encryption)
    • Familiarity with Agile backlog management tools such as Atlassian’s JIRA / Confluence, Pivotal Tracker, TFS
    • Experience in mobile development – IOS or Android
    • Experience with Cassandra, Nifi, Hadoop, Kafka, Flink and other Big Data platforms and applications
