    Your role in the team

    This role will focus on the daily design, engineering, implementation, management, sustainment and coordination of the Allstate Data Loss Prevention (DLP) in cloud hosted and SaaS platform(s) to include production and test front ends and infrastructure.  Additional responsibilities will include problem determination and resolution, software configuration, policy/ruleset authoring and documentation.  The right candidate will be responsible for creating an industry leading cloud integrated data loss prevention program.

    • Design, Implement, Manage and Sustain DLP technology set/controls
    • Serve as a DLP subject matter expert within the organization to span technical, operational, governance, and business considerations for cloud-based solutions
    • Creating and maintaining roadmap for cloud and SaaS-based solutions
    • Identify and communicate data loss vectors to leadership
    • Research, design, build, document and support various Allstate’s cloud data protection and incident handling capabilities/processes; to include CASB, CASE and API-exposed data discovery/remediation solutions for business consumption and incident handling/escalation
    • Consulting with customers regarding business-driven DLP requirements
    • Cross-training team members on cloud technologies and solutions
    • Work with BISOs to ensure that business areas and Family of Companies are properly covered by data loss prevention controls and identify gaps
    • Collaborating on the DLP rule development lifecycle including policy development, response rules, authoring, maintenance, and refinement
    • Auditing/assurance duties including development, implementation, and maintenance of audit/assurance plans and the regular evaluation of policies to validate and verify present ongoing DLP coverage at all cloud/SaaS monitoring points is in place and effective.
    • Metrics collection and reporting of details relevant to DLP.
    • Manage ShadowIT program, including analyst of SaaS usage and escalation for blocking of data loss prevention incidents
    • Troubleshoot issues / document root cause, resolutions.
    • Act as point of escalation for DLP issues (may include being part of an on-call rotation).
    • Monitoring system scans to ensure high throughput of data generation.
    • Coordination with technology and business groups as necessary.
    • Provide technical and understanding training to peers and business stakeholders
    • Identifying and creating metrics that demonstrate successful results from implemented solutions.

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

    • All candidates must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK
    • 5+ years’ experience in an IT or security related role
    • Minimum 3+ years’ experience working in a cloud security technical role
    • Experience or knowledge of JavaScript and Python integration between vended and custom solutions; including security tools such as Splunk, Phantom and Resilient.
    • Familiarity with security-related tools and a general knowledge of security principles
    • Proven experience working with data in cloud solutions (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure/O365, etc).
    • Proven success leveraging API integration between 3rd party and custom applications
    • Demonstrated experience automating custom and vended solutions in cloud environments.

    We also have some desirable criteria

    • Experience deploying, configuring and sustaining technical solutions in a 50k+ globally distributed endpoint environment
    • Experience developing and documenting solutions that integrating with API and/or ICAP capabilities
    • Proven ability to create, test and debug scripts and automation solutions
    • Experience with DLP technologies and methodologies   
    • 3+ years demonstrated ability translating business, risk and regulatory requirements into data protection solutions, effectively communicating those solutions to business leaders
    • Strong understanding of how to access, inspect and remediate cloud data storage technologies.
    • Hands-on administration experience working with a data loss prevention solution
    • Strong understanding of general security and networking concepts and experience applying same in corporate network environments
    • Self-learner with a passion for IT security who is adaptable to changing requirements
    • Ability to work successfully with others in large and small teams.
    • Ability to motivate and inspires others to perform at a high level, taking appropriate risks, and accepting personal accountability for actions and decisions.
    • Assertiveness - Ability to troubleshoot incidents until root cause resolutions.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to transform technical knowledge into business language (e.g. reports, presentations, etc.)
    • Bachelors degree is preferred, or commensurate experience
    • CISSP, security and cloud certifications are Highly Desired
