    Your role in the team

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Manager/Delivery Lead for the Integrations Team within Allstate Canada Group (ACG).  The Manager/Delivery Lead will play a key role within this global team comprising members from Allstate Northern Ireland, Canada and India.

    The mandate of this team will be to assist product suites through the modernization of the ACG integration infrastructure to support and more importantly enable agility in product delivery.

    The right candidate will ideally have tenured experience in integration-based environments with proven experience in modernizing integrations into the digital era.  An excellent motivator of people and task manager, this individual will have agile exposure and can demonstrate project and product management behaviours that support maintaining product backlogs, managing project and financial risk, and ensuring stable on budget and on time delivery of products and projects.

    The Manager/Delivery Lead is responsible for defining, delivering and managing the lifecycle of one or more products. In collaboration with the Product Owner, the Manager/Delivery Lead manages the strategic product vision, product discovery, roadmaps, and teams to maximize the customer value provided by their product.

    Responsibilities include (but aren't limited to):

    • Creating, driving and executing product strategy for one or more products in our growing product portfolio.
    • Engaging in discovery/test and learn activities to quickly validate assumptions and product direction.
    • Be a champion/ for agile process within the organization; lead and facilitate agile adoption within Allstate Canada Group (ACG).
    • Managing one or more teams (Scrum Masters, Developers, QA and BSA’s).
    • Own solution delivery, must be able to lead technical personnel to provide input to functional design and architecture, track and resolve technical issues during build and test phases, and overall to successfully develop and deliver technical solutions.
    • The delivery of cross functional development and systems integrated products.
    • Defining and managing metrics to measure the success of team efforts and to inform the overall product strategy.
    • Identifying and setting up organization structure, development and training plan for all team members.
    • Work effectively with upper management and multiple stakeholders and to apply customer relationship management practices.
    • Coaching and mentoring members of the team as well as members of the cross-functional development organization

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

    • Must be a UK/RoI/EU citizen or possess a current UK visa and eligible to take up full time, permanent employment. EU candidates must also demonstrate they are eligible to take up UK employment post-Brexit.
    • Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Manager, or in a technical role with a desire to move into Management/Delivery Lead
    • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
    • Experience in onshore/offshore model for project delivery
    • Experience in implementing Agile Scrum or Lean or Kanban etc.
    • Experience operating in an environment driven by KPIs with accountability to determine the best course of action to meet your goals
    • Ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts to a new product development team with proven experience in data-driven decision making
    • Clear passion for topics of technology products and an ability to identify possibilities to innovate in our product space
    • Ability to lead by influence up, down, and across an organization strong management or project lead experience required

    We also have some desirable criteria

    • Experience in developing, designing, or leading teams to deliver in one or more of the following:
    • API methodologies (SOAP / REST)
    • Messaging technologies (e.g. Kafka / Tibco)
    • Java / Spring Boot / .NET
    • ETL tools (e.g. Talend / Tibco)
    • API Manager (e.g. Apigee)
    • Previous experience, knowledge or understanding of CIM
    • Worked with or alongside large-scale Integration modernization in previous roles
    • Ability to triage issues across multiple systems and drive technical issues to resolution
    • Have familiarity with agile project management tools like Jira, Pivotal Tracker, Rally

    Travel Requirements

    • Occasional travel to Allstate Canada, Toronto for short periods
