    Job Description

     

    The Vulnerability Analyst is to provide technical leadership and work within a team that provides patch management for our desktop, server and application environments.  As well as this,  you will work with our corporate anti-virus, scripting and application packaging via SCCM. 

     

    The preferred candidate will thrive when tasked to work within a small team, work independently and develop relationships with business partners.

     

     

    Responsibilities include (but aren't limited to):

     

    • Research, design, plan and coordinate desktop/server infrastructure upgrades, enhancements, improvements and/or newly required service deployments
    • Participate in operational and business critical projects through the scoping, planning, execution, and implementation
    • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation and infrastructure policies, standards and diagrams
    • Provide guidance in the completion of health checks and performance and capacity reporting.
    • Take ownership of all assigned tickets and drive to resolution; researching and escalating to vendor as necessary.
    • Enforce and follow Allstate ITSM policies, procedures and best practices.
    • Work with global teams to coordinate patching schedule and schedule based on patching windows defined by the business
    • Implement patches on all desktop and server environments, including lower environments
    • Work with application teams to ensure ability to patch, research versions and deprecated commands/functions and provide to development teams prior to patch release
    • Develop a plan for implementing version change control within the Group.

     

     

    Essential Criteria

     

    • Must be an EU citizen or possess a current UK Tier 1 Visa or Tier 2 visa and eligible to take up full time, permanent employment. EU candidates must also demonstrate they are eligible to take up UK employment post-Brexit.
    • 4+ years of broad IT working experience, 2 of which years should be in a Systems Administrator or equivalent role for a large organization.
    • Above average understanding of MS desktop and server systems, Red Hat Linux, SCCM.
    • Solid understanding of LAN and WAN networking
    • Experience patching schedules, Q&A environments based on ITIL.
    • Understanding of Active Directory Infrastructure, DNS, DHCP, IAS, Clustering services, Window Security, deployment services and other Microsoft infrastructure services
    • Knowledge of systems security and best practices
    • A strong understanding of ITIL practices.

     

     

    Desirable Criteria

     

    • Project management experience and skills are an asset
    • Strong scripting skills are an asset
    • Bilingual French is an asset
    • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff
    • Lead and inspire innovation and the adoption of best practices
    • ITIL Foundations
    • MCSE, CCNA, CISSP, OSCP, CISA preferred but not mandatory
