    Job Description

    The Discovery Consultant will be responsible for driving delivery and administration for Discovery tools within the Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) team. They will be required to operate in a key technical position, effectively balancing the demands of day to day operations with strategic planning alongside leadership.

    This role will provide the opportunity to deliver solutions that will make an impact across the enterprise and for many key stakeholders. It is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a global team enabling infrastructure strategic solutions for Artificial Intelligence Operations, Event Management and Total Cost of Ownership.

    The successful candidate will be the primary technical administrator for Flexera FlexNet Manager Suite (FNMS), Flexera App Portal and ServiceNow Discovery tools. They will be responsible for driving delivery and administration for these tools within the Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) team. They will also be required to ensure best practice and pragmatic solutions are embedded throughout the team’s discovery capabilities and delivery outputs.

    Responsibilities include (but aren't limited to):

    · Provide day to day support of the ServiceNow Discovery tool for CMDB and the FNMS for the Enterprise.

    · Develops analytic and visual presentations to ensure Discovery data is conveyed in meaningful and interpretive formats for all audience levels.

    · Identify and troubleshoot product issues, integration issues, data and business reporting.

    · Contibute to successful overall team effectiveness by taking action to positively influence discovery metrics and KPIs.

    · Install, maintain agents, execute agent and application upgrades, create, manage customizations to import data, produce reports as needed.

    · Work with key stakeholders and maintain production and non-production environments in compliance with company standards and best practices.

    · Create, modify, inventory and/or FNMS Business adapters as per the requirements.

    · Lead and execute technical tasks, including necessary testing during platform upgrades.

    · Coordinate with Flexera and ServiceNow support on platform issues, bugs and enhancements.

    · Provides Discovery expertise to new global team including coaching and mentoring.

    Essential Criteria

    · Must be an EU citizen or possess a current UK Tier 1 Visa or Tier 2 visa and eligible to take up full time, permanent employment. EU candidates must also demonstrate they are eligible to take up UK employment post-Brexit.

    · Must have at least 5+ years IT experience.

    · Must have at least 2 years experience with integrations like Active Directory, CMDB systems, SCCM, JAMF and other discovery and inventory tools.

    · Must have at least 1 year hands on experience working on Windows/Unix/Linux environment.

    · Must have at least 1 year hands on experience doing root cause analysis from application logs, identifying sources of data discrepancies and ways to resolve them.

    · Must have at least 1 year hands on experience working with Power-shell and Excel.

    · Must have at least 1 year Configuration Management/Asset Management/Discovery Administration experience.

    Desirable Criteria

    · Hands on experience of Flexera FlexNet Manager Suite (FNMS), Flexera App Portal or ServiceNow Discovery tools.

    · Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or related experience.

    · 1+ years' experience working in an agile (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) teams.

    · Self-motivation, exemplifying a positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

    · Expertise in complementary areas: Networking, Infrastructure, Change Management, Security, ITIL, Service Management.

    · Experience working cross-functionally and building collaborative working relationships; interfacing effectively with stakeholders, operations and management to resolve issues.

    · Able to organize and schedule tasks, develop realistic action plans incorporating time constraints and task priorities.

    · Strong presentation skills, interpersonal skills, verbal and written communications skills.
