Vulnerability Analyst

  • WPR now has this Vulnerability Analyst position available with Black Duck Software, a recent FDI arrival in Belfast.  WPR is keen to hear from experienced Vulnerability or Threat Analyst candidates, with previous penetration testing experience and exposure to security threat detection.

    Black Duck Software's solutions are designed to provide advice to customers on License, Security and Operational Risks associated with using open source code, which in turn allows its customers to secure and streamline their use of this code.

     

    Your Responsibilities:

    The main focus of this role will be to perform security analysis on open source projects, collating relevant security information and assisting with research projects. Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

    Carry out vulnerability analysis and produce associated documentation

    Work with senior security researchers on research projects

    Document security tools and associated systems

    Perform security research activities on both known and unknown vulnerabilities

     

    Your Experience:

    To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following criteria:

    BSc Computer Science or equivalent Third Level Qualification

    Experience of vulnerability analysis, threat modelling and penetration testing

    Scripting experience with Python/Perl/Java/Ruby etc

    Previous experience to testing tools and techniques

    Knowledge of detection and protection technologies (IDS/IPS/WAF)

    Awareness of KillChain model

    An understanding of the Secure Development Lifecycle
