Our backend engineering teams specialise in developing robust and scalable Go Microservices, leveraging a tech stack that includes AWS, Docker, Postgres, and Kafka. Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
Contribute to the transition to microservices, designing APIs and event-driven architecture
Optimise database performance and data structures for high-traffic, real-time applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business needs
Mentor engineers, perform code-reviews and drive best practices in Golang
2+ years' of experience developing applications and their deployment mechanisms, including testing, scaling, and monitoring.
Demonstrated proficiency writing maintainable, high quality, robust code. Preferred but not limited to; Go, Java, C++.
Some familiarity with Infrastructure like Databases, API Layers, Load Balancers, etc.
A critical eye, a curious nature, and a voracious appetite to learn.
Understanding of Agile or Kanban / Lean software development methodologies.
Experience specifically with Go.
Experience with AWS.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code, cloud formation, terraform, etc.
Experience in apps using Kafka or other event stream/message broker platforms.
