Senior Product Manager (Investor Communications)

  • Apex is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the Investor Communications product suite within Ascend. You will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for regulatory and transactional communications at scale, including statements, trade confirmations, tax documents, proxy and shareholder materials, and disclosures. You will drive digital delivery (email, in-app, push) and paper fulfillment via third-party vendors, manage investor preference and consent experiences, and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all channels. You’ll partner with Engineering, Compliance, Operations, Client Success, and external vendors to deliver a resilient, API-first communications platform for our B2B2C clients and their millions of end investors.

    Duties/Responsibilities

    • Own the strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for Ascend’s Investor Communications, aligning to client needs and platform scale.

    • Lead the evolution of the Investor Communication platform in a spcialised vendor ecosystem with clear cutover/rollback guardrails.

    • Build generic, reusable services: investor email notifications, document composition/retrieval, and fallback print-and-mail.

    • Collaborate with Engineering to define APIs and event models for document composition, generation, retrieval, webhooks, and delivery status; ensure excellent developer experience, documentation, and sandbox coverage.

    • Partner with Engineering on reliability, observability, and performance; set pragmatic SLOs and operational runbooks.

    • Manage vendor relationships and costs; negotiate and track SLAs; oversee onboarding and ongoing quality.

    • Coordinate cross-functional delivery with Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Client Success; run effective ceremonies and clear stakeholder communications.

    • Measure and improve outcomes via KPIs (e.g., delivery success, e-delivery adoption, latency, onboarding time, and cost efficiency).

    • Maintain compliance and records retention in partnership with Compliance/Security; support audits with appropriate evidence.

    Required Skills/Abilities

    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across technical and non-technical teams and articulate complex ideas to diverse stakeholders.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using tools such as SQL, Excel, or BI platforms to derive insights that inform product decisions.

    • Solid understanding of modern software development practices, APIs, and Agile methodologies, including an interest in leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance product experiences.

    • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating organizational excellence and attention to detail.

    • Strategic mindset with the capability to balance day-to-day execution with long-term product vision, navigating ambiguity while delivering impactful, client-focused solutions.

    Work Environment

    • This job operates in a hybrid office environment 2 days per week.
