How You’ll Support Our Mission
This exciting role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the Application Governance process at ESO. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of IT, who is currently developing this process, the position will transition through a couple of phases.
In the first phase, you will assist with data collection and clean-up on all active contracts using Tropic (Tropicapp.io). The second phase will focus on handling the daily operations around software renewals, which includes collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors. Tropic will support contract negotiations, so a significant portion of your time will be spent negotiating contracts and ensuring Tropic has the necessary information to negotiate effectively on our behalf.
Additionally, there will be other responsibilities as needed, making this a dynamic and engaging role.
This position is based out of our Belfast, Northern Ireland office.
What You’ll Be Doing - The Day to Day
- Overseeing the entire SaaS contract lifecycle, from negotiation to renewal, ensuring all agreements align with company policies, legal standards, and budgetary constraints.
- Maintaining a precise database of contracts.
- Analyzing spend to drive cost efficiencies.
- Fostering relationships with vendors for optimal service and pricing.
- Working closely with the finance team to ensure procurement activities meet budgetary goals.
- Engaging in strategic planning to tailor procurement strategies to specific needs.
Who You Are - The Essentials
- At least 3-5 years of procurement experience, particularly within the technology sector.
- Ability to negotiate effectively.
- Data analysis skills for insights.
- Clear communication skills across departments.
- Experience in managing compliance and risk.
Who You Are - The Desirables (It’s a plus if you have):
- Passion for procurement and technology.
- Experience with the platform Tropicapp.io or similar Application Governance software.
- Education in a related field.
