    The Opportunity

    EY is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Health Director to join our growing Digital Health Practice. This role is pivotal in driving the continued growth of our practice by leading high-impact projects with our public and private health clients across the UK and Ireland. The successful candidate will work directly with clients to understand their business needs, lead the design of digitally enabled health and care services, and implement solutions that improve patient outcomes and care delivery processes.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the pursuit, design, and delivery of high-impact digital health projects.
    • Identify and lead business development pursuits to drive growth in the Digital Health Practice.
    • Work directly with clinical and technical clients to understand their business needs and design and deliver digitally enabled services that improve patient outcomes and care delivery processes.
    • Provide technical leadership to on-, near- and off-shore technical teams, vendors and external partners to ensure the successful and compliant delivery of client engagements.
    • Mentor junior consultants and support their professional development.
    • Ensure the successful delivery of complex initiatives and maintain strong relationships with EY’s clients.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject, such as Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of professional services working experience, with at least 2 years in a healthcare context.
    • Advanced understanding of healthcare standards (such as HL7 FHIR, openEHR, IHE, SNOMED, etc.) and experience working with electronic health record systems across various care settings.
    • In-depth knowledge of the UK and Ireland healthcare system landscapes and reference architectures at hospitals, service providers, and/or national or regional services.

     

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Proven ability to lead and manage high-impact digital health projects.
    • Strong understanding of clinical and technical client needs.
    • Excellent business development and client relationship management skills.
