Position Description:
We are looking for a Social Value Engagement Officer to help us deliver a major project over the next four years and beyond, based in Belfast. This is a part-time role, 18.75 hours per week, co-located in the CGI Belfast office and client site, with travel as required across Northern Ireland.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
This is a new programme and you will deliver a variety of opportunities that will add value to the local community in Northern Ireland. Your role will focus on IT skills development, mentoring and education to support people in the local community, including adults leaving prison and those on probation in the community, as well as young people and children. Working with the Social Value Engagement Manager, you’ll manage and lead activities hosted by CGI and our Partner organisations.
Key Tasks:
Work in partnership with teams across our client and CGI, to raise awareness of the Social Impact commitments, supporting the reporting and data analysis requirements and showcasing tangible localised impact through a social value lens.
• Identify beneficiaries across our clients’ services who meet the project criteria and promote and present social value initiatives to them.
• Provide and co-ordinate a range of skills development support to individuals and groups including:
o Facilitate CGI employees visiting our clients’ services to talk about the work of CGI, the types of jobs CGI offer and the skills/qualifications we look for
o Set up, facilitate and enable the delivery of skills and IT workshops alongside CGI and our clients’ colleagues
o Host our clients’ beneficiaries on brief visits to the client delivery centre (subject of course to security, and to Authority agreement) during periods such as testing and training
o Provide skills development and mentoring for women in the criminal justice system, supported by our client to include motivational careers advice and skills/employability mentoring.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
This role is a social value role and the preference is to recruit someone who ideally, but not exclusively, fits one of the following backgrounds/criteria;

In addition, we would like you to be able to demonstrate the following;
• Good planning skills, with excellent attention to detail and high standards
• Confident in the use of Microsoft 365
• Flexible approach and able to manage varying workload
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build and sustain effective relationships with team members and professionals
• Commitment and ability to uphold confidentiality
• Understanding and empathetic towards supporting people who have been convicted of crime / impacted as a victim of crime and / or have lived with trauma.
Qualifications
In line with the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) for England and Northern Ireland, one or more of the following Level 2 qualifications are required for the role:
• GCSEs at grades A–C* (or grades 4–9 in England)
• Intermediate apprenticeships
• Level 2 awards, diplomas, and certificates
• OCR Nationals
• NVQs (Level 2)
• Essential Skills qualifications
• O Levels at grades A–C
Additional Requirements
Successful candidates will be required to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks and secure Access NI Enhanced Clearance as part of the onboarding process. As part of the vetting process consideration will be given to individual circumstances.
