Senior UI Engineer

• We’re looking for a Senior UI Engineer that is passionate about making an impact and helping build the next big thing in cybersecurity. In this position, you will be joining a team of talented engineers who are passionate about building out the UI for Rapid7’s Platform team. 

   

  About the Team
  Our platform frontend engineering team is committed to delivering seamless user experiences. The team is responsible for delivering our platform home experience where customers manage their users with access control. The team also works on backoffice tools and integrations with product teams, constantly striving to deliver excellent experiences for our customers.

   

  About the Role

  As Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) you will be responsible for building and maintaining our Platform user interface, helping our customers effectively manage their organizations and users. You will also be responsible for development of our back office tools used by internal product and support teams at Rapid7.

  In this role, you will:

  • Participate in the design and planning of upcoming features, our Engineers are first class stakeholders in all parts of the development process.

  • Mentor junior engineers and work to improve the skill set of those around you.

  • When required, partner with internal teams such as UX and Product Management who work deeply with our product to ensure we are understanding our customers needs.

  • Work towards developing a deep understanding of our platform in order to best support our customers.

   

  The skills you’ll bring include:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years experience in frontend software development using JavaScript/TypeScript and React.

  • Experience debugging and measuring performance of react applications.

  • The attitude and ability to thrive in a high-growth, evolving environment.

  • Understanding of testing approaches (e2e, visual regression, unit testing) with testing tools and frameworks.

  • Experience in frontend practices such as bundling, linting, testing and deploying.

  • Experience working with UI component libraries and design systems.
