IT Service Manager

  Location: Housing Centre, Belfast (primarily remote working currently in place)

  Reports to: IT Manger – IT Service Operations & Cyber Security

   

  Job Purpose

  The IT Service Manager has a critical role managing the Housing Executive’s IT Services, within a large, complex technical environment. You will be responsible for service performance, stakeholder relationships and liaising with multiple suppliers to ensure continuous service improvement on a daily basis. You will also ensure that the IT Service processes are aligned with the IT service requirements of the organisation.

   

  Essential Criteria

  1. Can demonstrate at least 3 years’ experience within the last 5 years in an IT Service Manager role within a large organisation

   

  2. Can demonstrate a broad understanding of enterprise-level technology

   

  3. Can demonstrate experience of managing a team including planning, prioritising and managing resources within a collaborative team-based environment

   

  4. Can demonstrate strong Office skills

   

  5.    Can demonstrate:

  • A strong focus on customer service and a history of excellent client relations
  • Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and the business at all levels
  • Ability to manage own time and work accurately under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent planning and organisation and attention to detail
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

   

   

  Desirable Criteria

  1. A relevant IT degree or professional technical qualification of an equivalent academic level in an IT discipline

   

  2. Hold ITIL Certification
