    The role:

    The Business Analysis Group Manager is a senior management-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
    This role offers the opportunity to partner with key stakeholders across Markets Treasury Business, Corporate treasury, product control and senior technology partners to define our technology platforms. As the business uses all asset classes including FX, Rates, FI, Money Market & Derivatives, the role has high visibility and individual will be considered a critical partner across the various technology and business stakeholder teams.


    Responsibilities:

    • Manage multiple business analysts supporting multiple projects or over a business analysis functional area (depending on size of business) with responsibilities including work allocation, budget and planning, performance evaluation, compensation, staffing and other duties as assigned

    • Provide technical leadership and expertise to ensure the efficient design, development and implementation and to ensure essential procedures are followed

    • Resolve issues that have impact beyond own area and apply in-depth understanding of business analysis concepts and procedures and basic knowledge of other areas

    • Work as a team to achieve objectives and influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, communicating with external parties as needed

    • Work with stakeholders across Business lines, for transformation projects to understand their business and process

    • Work with Senior stakeholders in Trading Business, Operations, Product Control and Finance, Technology units and PMO to run meetings, coordinate and gather business requirements

    • Interact with various cross functional teams like Data, Risk and Finance Platforms etc. to develop plans around strategic flow/store of Risk data.

    • Plan, estimate, and manage risks and issues, project reporting, managing stakeholders, and building strong relationships with the business

    • Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations, drawing on diverse range of internal and external sources

    • Understand current business process and provide functional design inputs for the proposed technology solution

    • Create high quality documentation for Business and Functional Requirements

    • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

    • Analyze huge data sets, create flow diagrams, prepare high level summaries and workflows

    • Work in close co-ordination with the development leads on enhancements and defects, and assist with troubleshooting / resolution of application defects

    • Engage successfully with software developers and testers to ensure quality delivery, on time

    • Identify opportunities for cost saves and optimizations, in terms of legacy system retirement, eliminating EUC and reducing MTPs

    • Vendor Management and assistance in budget planning / contracting


    Qualifications:

    • Proven years relevant experience as Business Analyst with any Investment/ Global Bank in the areas of Trade Processing & Risk Management 

    • Proven overall experience working in a Banking/Financial services industry

    • Should understand money market and fixed income trade processing cycle globally viz., deal capture, deal execution, risk management, PnL calculation, liquidity impacts etc.

    • Should have very good knowledge on FI,MM, FX products and Intra-day liquidity management

    • Familiarity with SDLC and Agile development methodologies

    • Demonstrated leadership in previous role to build team and executed projects for successful business delivery

     

    Essential Skills/Competencies:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to transform business requirements into precise functional/technical specifications

    • Strong analysis skills; ability to create business analysis from scratch, ability to troubleshoot data quality issues

    • Ability to work as part of various teams and under pressure

    • Planning and Organizing – Ability to identify the steps to be taken to achieve objectives

    • Accountability –self start on goals and achieve targets

     

    Education:

    Strong academic record ideally with a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline from a top tier University. Master’s degree (MBA) with specialization in Finance from top tier University will be an added advantage.
