    Our Production Management team provides critical business and technical support to the Institutional Client Group (ICG); working collaboratively to ensure that our platforms and services operate for our clients, whenever they need them.     Role and Position Overview

    The Information Services Group (ISG) is responsible for providing state of the art financial instrument reference data for trades & transactions, accounts, securities, pricing, holidays and corporate actions to various businesses across Citi. Our team interfaces with a vast client base and works in close partnership with operations, development and other technology counterparts running the application production platform, providing quick resolutions and timely communications to their issues, and utilizing site reliability engineering (SRE) concepts to drive improvements to applications observability, resiliency, and recoverability to help us and the business succeed.

    Working as an Apps Support Intmd Analyst you will play an integral role in running and maintaining the production environment of ISG reference data applications so that our business can confidently service their clients. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, initiative to challenge the status quo, ability to build excellent working relationships, understand business and technology requirements and translate them into actions to improve systems performance.     Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical and business support for users of Citi. This includes providing quick resolutions to application issues, handling escalations, and driving stability, efficiency and effectiveness improvements to help the department and overall business succeed
    • Utilize site reliability engineering practices to improve applications observability, resiliency, and recoverability via automation.
    • Perform start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handovers
    • Develop and maintain technical support documentation
    • Partner with development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements
    • Assess risk and impact of production issues, escalating to the business and technology management in a timely and appropriate manner

     

    Functional Qualifications:

    • Some Experience with Production Support or related IT role is required.
    • Experience with IT Service Management and ITIL practices will add additional benefit.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to relevant stakeholders, translating technical terminology to business terms, and vice versa when required.
    • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and different project management practices is welcome.
    • Experience with financial systems will add additional benefit.

     

    Technical Qualifications:

    • Unix/Linux and Shell scripting skills is essential
    • Experience with SQL database systems is essential
    • Monitoring tools such as ITRS Geneos, AppDynamics will add additional benefit.
    • Experience with Middleware software is desired: Tibco EMS, MQ, Kafka
    • Basic understanding of Java-based applications. Coding is not required
