    Job Description

    This role works closely with Project Delivery to ensure that requirements for a new product or project are well defined prior to software development commences and provides mentoring, guidance and troubleshooting advice thereafter

    • This role will also have responsibility for shaping the direction of software design and build at all software development layers
    • Ensure best practice is applied to all software solution design, including the escalation of issues as necessary
    • To provide direction and guidance to all technical leads with regard to software build and to ensure alignment to overall solution design
    • To ensure all software build and implementation aligns to software development standards
    • To technically validate all new software development candidates as required
    • To provide mentoring assistance to the development teams where required
    • To assist in troubleshooting project/support issues when required
    • Recommends strategic direction for the software development roadmap including POC’s as relevant

    Qualifications

    • Significant experience in Software Development and Agile Methodologies.
    • Significant or experience in full stack developer role.
    • Significant experience of current front end and back end development frameworks.
    • Significant experience in CI/CD and DevSecOps platforms.
    • Experience of leading software development teams.
    • Experience in Cloud Technologies and Platforms e.g. Azure.
    • Experience in Networking and Server Technologies.
    • Experience of Solution Architecture design and implementation.
    • Experience in secure software design and software security best practice
    • Ability to manage and co-ordinate stakeholder engagements and meetings.
    • Experience in incident, change management and transition processes
    • Reporting, documentation/writing, and presentation skills
    • Excellent Organisational skills.
    • Experience with a wide range of IT environments, platforms and applications
    • IT Qualification - Degree or equivalent work experience.
    • Prior Project Management experience.
